There's just something that I love about Sunday mornings in the spring.

Around these parts that usually means one of two things -

Either I find myself take a little longer to get going & really leaning into the idea of taking that extra time to just slowdown. Those few extra minutes under the covers, an extra cup (or two) of coffee, continuing onto the next chapter of a favourite book. A gentle breeze coming in through the open window.

Or, I find myself wide awake, making a quick cup, throwing on a ballcap and heading out to my garden, ready for a morning of adventure and puttering. Be it out in the garden weeding away, tending to my perennials, or fawning over new growth, there's really nothing better.

Either way, I find myself taking in the scents of the season. The fragrant glow coming from the old lilac bushes, the wonderfully fragrant notes of sweet pea and the beauty of the wildflowers & prairie blossoms coming from my flowerbeds.

Light this candle, close your eyes and be surprised by what spring memories flood back to you.
