The knit cowls included in this collection are made from the most premium 100% Merino Wool and Hand-Dyed or Kettle Dyed in small batches. Though similar, almost every single ball is different, meaning you get a luxury, one of a kind item.
WASHING
Handmade = Hand Wash.
To wash, fill a sink or basin with tepid water and wash item by hand using mild soap (such as baby wash or special wool laundry soap). Take care not to overly stretch or distort your item. To dry, press out water from item using a towel, then lay flat to dry, taking care to reshape your item as close to its original form as possible.

Luxury- Truly unique and beautiful pieces, yarn will be 75% Wool Content or Greater (fluffier, warmer, squishier, naturally moisture wicking and temperature regulating). May be factory or hand-dyed. Colors can vary. Highest quality supplies from small businesses and artisans, sourced and selected with care.
Classic- 100% Acrylic (Synthetic), or 80% Acrylic/20%Wool Blend. Generic yarn. Warm and cozy but without the extra benefits of a high wool content. Factory made and dyed allowing for greater consistency of color. More affordable supplies = more affordable for you!

My name is Melissa and I am the sole maker behind Small Branch Designs. Every toque you see see here was knit by hand. When I'm not knitting, I'm busy with my wonderful family comprised of my husband, 3 kids, one dog and one cat. I'm also a psychiatric nurse with a full time job and a passion for improving Dementia Care.
Small Branch Designs started 3 years ago with my love for creativity and keeping my hands busy. Once I found knitting and started making toques, I just couldn't stop. I absolutely love making for other people, and seeing my toques out in the world after they've made it to their new home!
